Timemore 2024 New Flagship S3 Manual Coffee Grinder
The Chestnut S3 is Timemore's latest and most exciting coffee grinder launch in 2024.
Whether it's espresso, pour over, or the french press - your needs will be covered with this grinder. It is Timemore's first coffee grinder with an external click adjustment, along with several upgrades in terms of burr and precision of bearings which will result in a more uniform and consistent grind, giving you better tasting brews.

Its new key features include an external lens-style adjustment scale that makes the adjustment process smoother and provides superior accuracy. The adjustment of each step of this grinder is very fine, reaching a size of only 0.015 mm. In addition, it is equipped with a patented folding handle for easy portability and storage. Thanks to these design elements, the Timemore Chestnut S3 grinder is a high-performance and easy-to-use manual grinder suitable for both coffee lovers and professionals.

  • External Click Adjustment - Fine tune your grind settings down to 0.015mm steps, with the scales labelled so you no longer have to manually count from zero (like with the C3 series).
  • Micro-adjustments - With 15 clicks of mirco adjustments within the espresso range alone, and a total of 90 clicks of adjustments in its entire range. This makes the S3 the most accurate grinder in the entire Timemore range.
  • New Patented 42mm S2C890 Burr - The upgraded Spike-2-Cut (S2C) 890 burr set reduces fines and improves grind distribution and consistency.
  • High Precision Bearings - Increased precision by 20%, with a stricter tolerance of 5 microns compared to the previous 7 microns.
  • Built for Durability - Full metal, unibody construction.
  • Foldable Handle - The patented spring-assisted handle not only looks sleek, but makes the grinder more compact and easier to store. It also shifts the centre of gravity and reduces the likelihood of the grinder tipping over.

      Timemore Chesrnut S3 works so well

      I’ve now had the Chestnut S3 for 2 weeks and very happy with this grinder. It has elevated my morning coffee experience with a smoother and deeper flavour. I looked at around 10 manual grinders and finally settled on this one. The criteria that the S3 ticked off for me were
      - a hopper and container that would give me 25 - 35 grams of coffee to fill my 4 cup and 6 cup Bialettti moka pot basket.
      - suitable grind for a moka pot.
      - over 40mm nut size to grind more quickly. It takes me about 65 secs of grinding to make enough coffee to 2 cups.
      - foldable handle.

      This is my first coffee grinder and very happy. If I was to buy another grinder in a few years I might try a bigger burr size as it may reduce the Grinding time and effort but this isn’t a big thing at the moment for my coffee ritual.
